Welcome to Club Stride's I Am Community program! Your child is joining a hands-on youth leadership and media experience designed to help middle school students discover their strengths, develop their voice, and begin building skills they can carry into high school, college, and future careers.

What is I AM Community
I Am Community is Club Stride's middle school youth leadership and media program. Students use media, storytelling and youth-led projects to develop leadership, communication, creativity and a stronger voice in their school and community.
Why This Program Matters
Building Skills for High School, College & Beyond
Middle school is an important time for students to begin discovering what they are good at, what interests them, and how they can use their strengths. I Am Community gives students opportunities to begin building skills and experiences now that they can continue developing throughout high school, college and future careers. Students can develop:
Communication & Public Speaking - Learning to express ideas clearly and confidently.
Leadership & Teamwork - Making decisions, collaborating with others and taking responsibility.
Writing & Storytelling - Learning how to develop ideas and communicate meaningful stories.
Community & Civic Leadership - Learning how to use their voice and ideas to contribute to their school and community.
Digital & Media Skills
Building hands-on experience with audio, video, photography, podcasting and digital content.
Starting Early Matters
Middle school students don't have to wait until high school to begin discovering their strengths.
I Am Community gives students an early opportunity to create, communicate, collaborate and lead—experiences they can continue building on as they move toward high school, college and future opportunities.

Students don't just learn about these skills—they have opportunities to practice them through real projects.
What Parents Should Know
Participation Is Free: There is no cost for students to participate.
Consistent Participation Matters: Students are encouraged to participate consistently so they can contribute to their teams and complete program projects.
Students Help Shape the Work: Students may identify issues that matter to them, develop ideas and messages, and help create youth-led projects.
Media Is Part of the Experience: Students may participate in photography, video, audio, interviews, podcasts and other digital-media activities.
We Measure Our Impact: Club Stride tracks participation and may invite students to complete surveys, reflections and other activities that help us understand their experience and program outcomes.
We'll Keep Families Connected: Parents will receive important program information and may be invited to showcases and other opportunities to see and celebrate student work.

Your child's registration is already complete. To finalize your child's program records, please complete the Media Release below. Once submitted, Club Stride will match the Media Release with your child's existing registration.
