Why Leadership & Civic Engagement Matters
At Club Stride, we believe young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are leading today. Through our Leadership & Civic Engagement programs, students gain the confidence, skills, and real-world experiences to influence policy, strengthen their communities, and prepare for college and career success.
Program Pillars
CIVIC EDUCATION
Youth learn how democracy works through engaging workshops, guest speakers, and real-world activities. They discover their rights, their responsibilities, and their power to shape change.
Impact: Students leave with stronger civic knowledge and confidence to take action.
CIVIC LEADERSHIP
We train young leaders to use their voice. From public speaking to advocacy and organizing, participants lead campaigns, meet with decision-makers, and take on visible roles in the community.
Impact: Our youth have testified at school board meetings, spoken at city council, and served on local advisory boards.
COLLEGE PREP
We help students prepare for what’s next—college, internships, and careers. From resume writing and essay coaching to financial aid workshops and college tours, our program clears the path forward.
Impact: Alumni gain admission to Universities and secure internship opportunities through Club Stride support.
ACTION IN MOVEMENT
Through AIM, students design and lead their own community action projects. These campaigns focus on equity, service, and youth-led solutions to pressing issues in schools and neighborhoods.
Impact: AIM projects have sparked local policy conversations.
