Online Demonstration Videos and Information:

To begin to help decrease the psychological terror faced by racial and ethnic minorities impacted by trauma associated with unjustified violence perpetrated by law enforcement and racial injustice, Club Stride hosted a RED LIGHT demonstration on July 28, 2020.  The demonstration was to protest local efforts to increase funding for law enforcement, while blatantly ignoring the deep psychological terror associated with police misconduct within ethnically marginalized communities.  There is a history of violence against racial and ethnic minorities that contextualizes the traumatic experience of police violence that cannot be ignored. To be able to begin to wholeheartedly and compassionately deal with the trauma that is overwhelming disenfranchised communities of color, we are urging local governments to refuse to increase spending on law enforcement until systems to address race-based trauma are in place to support young black and brown boys, girls, and those in the LGBTQ community.  Read more.
